Rock sliders aren’t just parts that protect the body from rocks on the trail.
They also work extremely well as side steps for lifted vehicles with increased ride height.
Because they’re built strong enough not to flex under your weight, kids and women can confidently step on them, making getting in and out dramatically easier.
For street driving, they can also double as a side guard.
If you’re ever in a side-impact collision at an intersection or similar situation, the rigid steel tubing can take the hit before the door panels do, potentially reducing vehicle deformation and helping lessen damage to occupants.
At our shop, we can accommodate both welded-to-frame mounting and bolt-on mounting.
For this build, we finished them with a tough, chip- and rust-resistant coating—either “chip guard” (stone-chip) coating or a Raptor Liner finish—balancing a hardcore look with real-world durability.
